Sons & Daughters strives to meet the immediate needs of children in the midst of difficult and confusing times while also sharing the hope and comfort that they are valued, seen and loved.
Son’s & Daughters is a program under HopeLKN that exists to provide care bags to children/families who are entering into either foster care or temporary respite care due to difficulty or hardship. We partner with local non-profits and county Department of Human Services to supply them with the care bags to be distributed as the need presents itself. Bags are packed with gender and age specific items to ensure any child entering respite or foster care will receive a bag.
We strive to see that every child entering into respite care or foster care is provided for with a bag that becomes their own and is filled with items that will not only meet their immediate needs but will also support them emotionally, bringing comfort during this transition. We believe that all children should be nurtured and cared for in a way that is both useful and impactful, giving them hope during difficult circumstances.
